Uninspiring Short Stories - For Instance Doctor

'Well, for instance doctor.. When I drive down a road, it could be any road. The memories which are held to that road are many, from any and every past life lived.
Happy memories,
sad memories,
Indifferent,
and they CROWD me so. It's like I can't breathe doctor.
No longer can I BE anywhere, GO anywhere,
and feel the peace of a new day.'
'Ahm'. The doctor let out a slight noise to acknowledge the time and looked towards the clock on the wall.
'Will it be the same time tomorrow then?'

I Saw A Lady Today...

I saw a lady today notice an old couple walk by hand in hand and It made her smile, and it made me smile as I watched the lady's face as she watched the old couple and was flooded with happiness. I later wondered whether any one had through me become spellbound at the magic of that old couple.

Uninspiring Short Stories - The Grasshopper in the Morning Dew

It was half twelve and the morning dew was still holding to those blades of grass, holding on as if life depended on it.
The grasshopper stared on at the little droplets for some time.
She was diving for memories, pulling them clear to the surface.
She was remembering a time when those very droplets had reflected in her eyes and caught the inspiration of her love.
Her eyes began to sparkle now... Though not with reflections of a dew but of a salty water in which she could not remember the meaning.

Uninspiring Short Stories - The Plan of Count Mocking Bird

7 hour train ride to a place unknown.
No plan of when to return. No plan of whether to return at all.
This was the plan of Count Mocking Bird.
Though sadly for he, she was back at half 3 with their young and a box full of smiles.

Uninspiring Short Stories - Where He Is

'No one knows where I am.' He thought to himself.
'No one in the world knows where I am at this very moment.'
Smiling a little smile of serene happy, he stopped, looked up at the sky.... and then down at his IPhone, saw the satellite tracking to the nearest tower and heard the sound of crying nobodies posting updates on their whereabouts.

Uninspiring Short Stories - Raven

He understands now, the raven in his arm chair of solace. He understands why famous people only date famous people.
She was just like him when they met. Alone and in a daydream.
A caterpillar.
The raven sat in his chair and he dreamt of days when things were good. Days of sweet company with his young caterpillar.
Then he remembered the days of change, and the days of success.
Her success.
She still loved him. Wanted to share everything with the raven.
But she was busy.
Everyday that the caterpillar got bigger, gained fame and the fortune which accompanies it, the raven grew smaller. Retreated into dark spaces and sank into shallow pits and crawled into his own mind. Further, deeper.
He only wanted to hear her sing a song of love for him again.
But she was preoccupied.
The raven now shakes his head slowly, shivers.
'As soon as the sun comes up I will feel warmer.' decided the raven.
And he closed his eyes and sighed as he sat back in his arm chair of solace. On that sunny day, in the basement which is his home.

Uninspiring Short Stories - Snapper Head and the Gravy

'Kiss me!' screams the snapper head at the gravy.
'As you wish' exclaims the gravy and morbidly carries out it's duty.
'Oh forget it.' cries the snapper head. 'there's no passion in you anymore. It's not the same when it has to be asked for.'
The gravy checks it's watch.
Almost time for work.

Uninspiring Short Stories - The mutated chameleon horse

The mutated chameleon horse was tired of speaking to this relentless doctor.
'I just, I just feel like I need to constantly change in order to survive.' he spoke solemly to the doctor.
The doctor cleared his throat.
'Now we both know son, that until you can show the proper signs of understanding exactly what you are, we will continue to have this nonsense chatter until the cows come home.'
'Neigh.' the mutated chameleon horse reluctantly sighed as he looked toward the barricaded window and turned the colour of despair.

Uninspiring Short Stories - The Clock and the Clown

'And you mister,' said the clock to the clown. 'you think YOUR life is sad?! While mine is a sad life it is also uneventful. People look at me, but they will never know me!'
The clown frowns, looks away. 'I know EXACTLY what you mean.' He thinks to himself.
