boon companions

What classifies a friend as a friend?

But what classifies a REAL friend as a friend, in the most definate of manner?

Friends are people in which you choose to spend time with and who will choose to spend time with you for enjoyment. Am i correct?

And where do they come from?

As the days of my life carry on going by I'm noticing that the further you get from school age, the harder it is to meet people and create real friendships. It's easier to make aquaintences with age but harder to form friendships.
Most people have a few close friends that they've known since school, but what happens when you are an adult and have not kept the friendships formed at school. How then, does one form friendships with people? It's no longer as easy as 'hi, I like your shoes. Do you wanna be friends?' and you can't simply go up to some person at the supermarket and say 'fancy coming over my place for some tea?'

Do friendships formed during adult life ever make it to the strength that childhood friendships do?

As for people that have been acquainted, maybe via taking or have taken part in the same activity. When comes the point in which it is ok to suggest spending some time with one another, outside of whatever situation has brought you to be acquainted?

Maybe our society is ready for 'speed friendship-ing' evenings..?

Maybe not.

Maybe some of us just have it in our destiny to become the crazy cat lady.

Which cubicle do you choose?

Which cubicle do you choose when you visit the public amenities?

Is it the furthest from the door,
assuming that most people are lazy and therefore the furthest away is the least used?

Do you go to the middle
thinking that people planning on doing a poo will reside themselves nearest the the walls?

When big, bold and sloppy people enter a room,
do they enter with such an importance around them that they miss the first couple of loo's?

Or is it the discrete, quiet 'first cubicle' goers that it is best to steer clear of?

...Alteratively, maybe you've got better things to do with your time than waste it considering which cubicle is the best...
